Stübben Stirrup Irons
These stainless steel 'never rust' stirrup irons are made using a 'lost wax' production technique. This techniques ensures the irons are burr free to avoid the possibility of hurting horse and rider. Each iron has the Stubben logo etched on and are supplied with rubber pads.
For safety reasons stirrup irons should be heavy, wide and high. A heavy iron is easier for a rider to relocate should their foot fall out. A wide and high irons gives the boot clearance in the case of a fall and therefore reduces the risk of the iron catching. To this extent Stubben fillis irons have a weight allowing ease of recovery in the case of losing an iron.
